The SHUR/Wave laboratory microwave was specifically designed to accelerate lengthy procedures involving tissue fixation and processing. Also great for specimen stabilization and hardening, epitope retrieval, and acceleration of specimen decalcification and staining. Creating, storing, and running programs can be mastered in a matter of minutes via the 8" touch-screen color membrane display and user-friendly controls. Programmable logic controller (PLC) allows at least 30 programs, each with up to 12 steps, to be named, stored, and run. The graphic display supplies readouts of time versus temperature. Easily run samples in one of five selectable languages including English, German, Spanish, French or Italian.

Microwave features numerous built-in safety devices to protect the operator and specimen, including a temperature controller and a ventilation system that can be ducted into your fume hood or exhaust system. Quality control program with password protection can document temperature, adequate line voltage and the dualmagnetron power output. The flexible thermocouple temperature probe, along with

proportional, integral, differential (PID) controller monitors the temperature to assure that the production of microwaves is proportioned to maintain temperature within user guidelines— eliminates the need for water coolers or hazardous chemicals, ensuring specimen safety.
